Bold •/ showing a willingness to take risks; confident and courageous.
Since I cut my hair, I’ve had a few people complimenting my bold decision. What they didn’t know is that as the barber was shaving my hair off, my stomach was in knots, fingers tightly clenched as I looked at my reflection and thought, ‘What did I just do?’
But I did it. And is amazing how one haircut has opened up conversations with friends, colleagues and even strangers on the issue of stepping outside comfort zones. Overcoming fear. Taking risks. Having courage.
We all have (legal) things we’ve always wanted to do. But sometimes we let people’s opinions, procrastination and fear get the better of us. We’re constantly waiting for right time, the right person, the right place. And most people have waited until their very last breath.
I don’t know what you’ve been waiting for. I don’t know what’s holding you back. What I do know is that it feels amazing to stand on the other side of fear. To be bold. To be courageous. It’s scary, but it’s the good kind. .
Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the making of action in spite of fear into the unknown and into the future.
Be bold – you’ll love it!
